Tubings

Tubing is pipe used for the transportation of crude oil and natural gas from an oil or gas layer to the surface after drilling is complete. It is made to withstand the pressure generated from the extraction process. Tubing is manufactured in the same way as casing, except that an additional process known as “upsetting” is applied to thicken the pipes.
The tubing production processing is similar to the process of casing production.
Tubing pipes typically have diameters of 26.67 mm to 114.3 mm.

Quality Control
We have implemented stringent quality control tests to inspect raw materials and examine products in every stage of the manufacturing process.
The quality control system includes:
• Size and surface inspection. Our quality assurance staff inspects the size and surface of the tubes to ensure that tubes meet required standards.
• Non-destructive test. This test is conducted to ensure that no damage occurred to the tube during upsetting, heat treatment and hot straightening treatments. For the blind areas at the end of the pipes, a magnetic power detectoscope is used to conduct the tests. If damage within the pipe is found by the detectoscope, the quality assurance staff will investigate the area further with a portable ultrasound detectoscope.
• Thread inspection. The production staff physically examines the thread after the threading stage of the production process to ensure that it accurately conforms to the required standards.
• Hydrostatic test. Pipes are rolled onto a hydrostatic testing machine where water is pumped into the pipes to ensure that the pipes can withstand the requisite internal pressure and to confirm that there is no leakage.
• Drifting test. This test is conducted to inspect the straightness of the pipes and to determine if any protrusions exist along the inner walls.
• Physical and chemical analysis. This test is conducted to analyze the chemical composition, mechanical performance and metallographic structure of pipe materials.
• Hardness and pressure test. Pipes are physically tested through weld finishing and hardness tests to ensure that the pipes can withstand the requisite external pressure and exhibits the required hardness before final coating.

Quality control tests are conducted on finished products. The quality assurance staff checks to make sure that there are no visible defects and that all finished pipes accurately conform to the intended parameters and lengths. Over 200 quality assurance staff members are equipped with advanced testing equipment. We provide regular training to our staff and have established a set of mandatory internal procedures and standards.
